Aether Paranormal Team-The Presidio La Bahia

It's Free!

Let us start by saying that Goliad is a lovely place you should all check out. It’s enchanting residents, ghostly demeanor and rich history offer a well-rounded, profound experience to take with you.

As you’ll see in the video, the first night when we arrived we were on our own. Not much information, other than the location supposedly had ghostly activity, because of paranormal after-life hauntings brought on by the massacre that took place at the fort in the early-mid 1800’s.

So, that night Carly and I visited a nearby cemetery while the guys (Matt, Beaux and Shad) stayed back at the fort to investigate the premise - our home base.

As soon as we arrived in the cemetery, Carly and I were greeted by roosters crowing and dogs frantically barking. A little uncanny. As much fun and hope as we had, no obvious ghosts were around to promptly report. Meanwhile, back at the fort, the guys found zip, zilch, nada.

But then the momentum rose that night. Just before dawn we were all awakened by a loud moaning sound. We all startled awake to simultaneously smell a musky, smokey smell, but still didn’t notice any correlation. The sound ended up being Matt, who slept alone on the couch in the middle living quarters. He had a horrible nightmare about being engulfed by smoke and he couldn’t wake up… later we’d find out why.

The next full day, we were graciously accompanied by William Corey (AKA: Bill), a local resident and ghost enthusiast. We were referred to him by the Goliad staff, who told us, “He’s the man.” He was a kind soul and colorful character who spent the entire day with us showing us cemetery after cemetery and filling our ears with all the ghost stories and rich history the town had to offer. He WAS the man. :) Thanks, Bill!!

His face lit up our screen, and definitely enriched our experience. You’ll see why!
